The REK Bookcase
Posted by Jack on 12.12.2008 at 11:21 am
As you know, we have a serious love for book storage here on the blog. If it’s an inventive way to store books, sign us up.
In honor of that we have the REK Bookcase, which can contract or expand as you need more or less space, eliminating the need for additional shelving or wasted negative space. Blahblahblah, you just want to see the photos, right?

Lovely! It’s a bit more spaceship-esque than I’d usually go for a bookshelf, but it’s a clever construct.
I like the narrow horizontal slits especially — that’d be a great way to display books with good spines.
It’s a trifle mod for me as well, but I love the prospect of setting up the books more as art. Besides, everything these days is so IKEA-y, it’s nice to have some outside the box thinking!
